Biography :

Antoinette Sayeh (b. July 12, 1958) in  Liberia. Antoinette Sayeh is the Director of the African Department at the International Monetary Fond. Prior to that she served as the Minister of Finance of Liberia. She is the second woman in Liberia’s history to hold that position, President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf being the first. Prior to her Ministry appointment, Dr. Sayeh has pursued a successful career in the World Bank. She was Country Director for the World Bank’s programmes in Benin, Niger and Togo and worked on public finance management and civil service reform in Pakistan. In recognition of her achievements, Swarthmore College has presented her with the Lucretia Mott Award for literary scholarship and the government of Niger awarded her for Service to country.
