Biography :

Célestin Monga is a Cameroonian Lead Economist and Advisor to the Senior Vice President at the World Bank in Washington, D.C. Previously, he taught economics and political science at Boston University and the University of Bordeaux and managed the largest commercial bank branch in his native Cameroon. He also served on the Board of Directors for Sloan Fellows at MIT. His books are translated into
several languages and include The Anthropology of Anger (Lynne Rienner 1998),
which received the Outstanding Book award by Choice, and Un Bantou a Washington
(Presses Universitaires de France 2007). He has been called “one of today’s most
important democratic thinkers” (Larry Diamond).
