Alima Boumediene-Thiery (b.July 24, 1956), is a French Moroccan politician and is a 'green party, senator in the French senate.
International jurist, European member of Parliament, member of the commission for human rights and freedom, justice and internal affairs and vice President of the Legislative council for Palestine.
With a master's degree in economic sciences, a post graduate diploma in economic and social studies and another in economic social development, a PhD in social economices, a superior postgraduate diploma in administrative law and another in Public and local politics, she carried on her post graduate studies from 1981 - 1998.
She worked as associate director for the Association Cultures et Expressions des Minorités from 1985-87 and then became the administrative director of the committee for Expression maghrébine au féminin from 1987-1992 and then from 1994-95 was responsable for the mission for the teaching and formation of immigrant workers and then families.
She has been a local councilor for Argenteuil since 1995.
