Biography :

Rose Kabuye (b. April 22, 1961), is a female politician from Rwanda. She originally trained in the military and is today the director of Protocol for the Rwandan President, Paul Kagame. She was the mayor of Kigali, she is a Tutsi and a retired Lieutenant Colonel.

She was suspected to have been party to the killing of the Rwandan President Juvenal Habyarimana on 6 April 1994 that led to the Genocide of 800 000 Tutsis.

She was arrested on 9 November 2008 in Frankfort following an International Arrest Warrant and given over to the French Authorities. However it was found that there was no proof against her and in April 2009 she was released and free to do as she wished.
