Yazid Sabeg (b.January 8, 1950), is a French industrial of Algerian origin. He is the Chief Executive of Communication et systèmes (ex Compagnie des signaux), which is quoted on the stock exchange. This Doctor in Economic Science is the son of an immigrant. He is one of Pillars of the Montaigne Institute (the special group created by Claude Bébéar. He is an ardent supporter of positive discrimination in France. He has recently created the "Manifesto for Real Equality" in France. This combat for equality has been given new impetus since Barack Obama's election.
Yazid Sabeg is married and father of three children. He started his career in 1973 at the BAD bank ( part of the Credit Lyonnais), before going onto create an investment fund (EURIS) and then taking on the management of Quadrai an industrial and financial holding. He was the youngest counsellor in charge of Industrial restructuring under Raymond Barre's prime ministership (1976 - 1981). Today he is at head of the Communication et Systèmes (CSEE) Group, specialised in military IT, he has several thousand employees and a turnover of 400 Million Euros.
On 17 December 2008, he was named Commissionaire for Equality and Equal opportunity , which, as it says, is for the encouragement and promotion of equality.
