He started his career working with advertising in 1992. His first short film was called "Les pierres bleues du désert'' with Jamel Debbouze as actor. Brought up in the Paris suburb of Sarcelles. His first major film Mektoub represented Marocco at the Oscars in 1997. Four years later his second film, Ali Zaoua was released. "Whatever Lola wants" is his latest film.
