Biography :

Ramatoulaye Yade-Zimet. French politician and Senegalese born woman. She was was appointed as Secretary of State for Human Rights under the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Bernard Kouchner. She was moved to the post of Secretary of State for Sports on 24 June 2009. This was interpreted as a demotion in connection with Sarkozy's disapproval of her decision to not stand in the European elections. she left the governement after the cabinet reshuffle on November 14, 2010.

 (Born 1976 in Senegal - usual name of Ramatoulaye Yade-Zimet) is a French politician. She was a national secretary at UMP in charge of French-speaking countries.

She was the State Secretary in charge of foreign affairs and human rights (under the authority of the minister of Foreign Affairs, Bernard Kouchner). She is contraversial and seen to be the figure head of Sarkosy's quest for diversity in his team. She then became the Secretary of State for Sports (June 23, 2009), position which she held until November 2010.


She graduated from the Institut d'études politiques in 2000, and then worked at the Paris Town Hall and the French National Assembly before becoming administrator at the French Senate in 2002.

She came to France at the age of 8, obtaining her bac and going onto Sciences - Pô (Science - Polytechnic).
