Biography :

Olufemi Sanyalou known as "Keziah Jones", born (October 1,1968,) is a multitalented Nigerian guitarist and songwriter. He is heavily influenced by Fela Kuti and Jimi Hendrix. He describes his musical style as ?Blufunk?, which is a fusion between raw blues elements and hard, edgy funk rhythms. Also his African roots and soul music can be considered a major influence on his sound.

Born into a wealthy family, son of an industrial, he was sent to London at the age of eight and went to a state school. At thirteen he learnt to play the piano and three years later learnt the guitar and composed his own songs. To the dismay of his family he left school and started playing in pubs and in the street. Discovered by Phil Pickett in the Paris metro, he then started performing in England with his own group.
His first album entitled "Blufunk is a Fact" gave birth to the legendary success single "rhythm is love". This is said to have had a lot of influence from the music of Fela Kuti. Two other titles  Where is Life and Free your soul were tremendous successes. In 1995 he brought out African Space Craft which included the single If you know. Four years later Keziah brought out two new albums in consecutive years 2003 Liquid Sunshine, 2004 Black Orpheus.

His album Nigerian Wood came out in September 2008 and is a real return to his sources and he even did some impromptu concerts in the Paris metro.
