Biography :

Paul Dakeyo is a Cameroonian poet.

Dakeyo, Paul (b. 1948). Cameroonian poet, anthologist, and publisher. In 1980 he founded Silex Éditions in Paris where he now lives. A committed poet, Dakeyo has published several volumes, including Les Barbelés du matin (1973), Chant d'accusation (1976), Soweto! Soleils fusillés (1977), and La Femme où j'ai mal (1989). He has edited, in collaboration with others, three anthologies of African poetry, and notably Aube d'un jour nouveau (1981), devoted to South African poets in French translation.
