Biography :

Nadia Mladjao, better known as Imany, the singer, was born in France in 1979. From the Comores, her 'stage name,' 'Imany,' means 'Hope,' in Swahili.

As a youth, she was a succesful athlete, doing high jump, later becoming a model for the Ford Models Europe, agency. She went to the United States for six years, before coming back to France, when she started her singing career. Currently, she lives between The States and France.
