Kavi was one of the African artists chosen to represent the African continent in the Intercontinental World Contemporary Exhibition. Subsequently His painting Christ was kept to be part of the patrimoine of the 20th century masters in Sicily, Italy.
Kavi has also established a Kavi Vadamootoo Prize £2500 for the best fiction in English for Mauritian Writers
